Well, what can I say? I'm a freak. But you know what, I'm not the one who started a WoT message board in the first place, so ha!

Are you saying that Xero is a freak too because he started a WoT message board?

I thought about that as soon as I posted, but I wanted to see if you would say anything. I do not consider Xero a freak. He is a genius. More of one than you are, anyway. I'm not saying you are a freak, I'm just saying that you should not be surprised when someone spends a lot of time on something, such as posting that much, when you yourself spend a lot of time maintaining this site.

[glow=green,2,300]"This in an old thing, boy. Older than Aes Sedai. Older than anyone using the One Power. Old as humankind. Old as wolves," Elyas Machera 3rd Age[/glow]
That was on my News Fader, but I took it off. I'm very fond of it.

Yes, that is very nice, indeed. I like Elyas. He's a pretty smart fellow.

I'm fond of the Wolfkin. In real life I'd like to communicate with wolves and dogs. And I'd like to channel. But alas, they are but dreams.

yes, but dreams can seem real...But yea, the Wolfkin are awesome. Channeling would be nice, and if I had to choose, I would pick it, but being a wolfkin would be something you could hide from others. You could have a lot of fun with the hightened senses and what not. And then there are the golden eyes. That would just be cool.

You know those contacts that make your eye look different? Not those ones with a tint, but the ones that make your eye all white, or red. Well, I want contacts that make my eyes look like wolf's eyes, but also helps with my vision. I have glasses so I would need them to be like my glasses and let me see. If I could get that, that would be awesome! It would be as close al I could get to actually having wolf's eyes.

You know what? My mother use to work for an optometrist and I asked her if I could get some of those things. I wear glasses and well, but sadly I have an astigmatism and they can't make them toric, which is what I need. But, with her "inside connections" I think it is possible to get them yellow. That would have been great...

Explain in English again why you can't get them? And I wouldn't want them yellow. I'd want them burnished gold and have them reflect light when light is put on them.

an astigmatism is a deformity of the eye. The surface of the eye has hills and valleys instead of being smooth. Thus, when light enters the eyes, it is destorted, causing different visual problems, as you might imagine. Well, with toric lenses, this problem is corrected, but they are harder to make and are more expensive. Anyway, those contacts that you are talking about can not be made into toric lenses. Something to do with the coloring or the lenses. And yes, the gold thing is what I was talking about, but it's a lot easier to just say "yellow."

I've never heard of that happening to an eye. Is it rare for it to happen? I feel sorry that you can't get lenses. Could it be repaired with laser eye surgery? And are the leses REALLY expensive?

It isn't really that rare. It sounds like a rare thing, but a lot of people have it. It can be fixed with laser surgery, but I don't find it so important that I'm going to give up that much money. Three pair usually run about $120, give or take a few. That's for the toric lenses. If you were talking the contacts that would make your eyes gold, then they run about $99 a pair.
