Rereading the series I noticed a few things I hadn't before:
1) in Book 1 or 2, why does Lan make such a big deal over making sure Rand understands "Sheathing the Sword"? It looks like he's going to have to do this, otherwise RJ wouldn't take up about 10 pages in the books about it.
2) Book 4: Moiraine goes into Ruhidean. I never noticed before. What does she see? Rand and the Aiel see events happening to the Aiel through the eyes of their ancestors, and she isn't Aiel, so what does she see?
3) Book 4: Padain Fain, in the world of dreams, goes into the tower of Ghenji, which Birgitte only a page later describes as being impossible to break out of in the world of dreams. What is he doing, and how does he get out?
And there are probably more that I forgot, but this is the few that I remember.

Ok I am on my ...who knows which re read... I just read the sheathing the sword part. I never remembered that from the first read. or second.. But I do remember somewhere that he used it to save his own life.
Rhudien was special cause Moraine was the only outsider to do that, at least in the book. I dont think they ever touched on that, but when I come to that re read Ill post If I catch anything.
Same with the last

2) Book 4: Moiraine goes into Ruhidean. I never noticed before. What does she see? Rand and the Aiel see events happening to the Aiel through the eyes of their ancestors, and she isn't Aiel, so what does she see? You really didn't notice this? How is it, then, that Moiraine is able to write the letter to Thom? She sees her future, I believe. She knows that she was going to die, that is stressed, methinks. And she says she knows the face of the man she well marry. I think she got all this stuff from Ruhidean. *My two cents*

I mean, I think that's what I remember. It's been a while for me, as well. But hey, you can find all this kind of stuff on the internet if you just look. That's what I do.

I think that Moiraine will marry Thom. They'll fall in love after he rescues her. If not, mabye Elyas or Logain?
She is the only outsider to enter Rhudian besides Mat and Rand. How do I know this? Well, I finished The Shadow Rising not too long ago.

"Shadow Rising"? How did the book get that title anyway?

Sheathing the Sword was leaving oneself open to attack in order to score a blow, right? If so, didn't Rand do that in the battle in the sky above Falme?

No, Sheathing the Sword is IIRC, killing oneself to win. Lan makes a big deal about it, so Rand's viewpoint for about five chapter's worth is fulll of "commit suicide? why would I do that? Lan is crazy." over and over.

Rand was prepared to use Sheathing the Sword. But instead he just got cut on the side. Yep yep, magic stuff, that.

If you were fighting and Ishy and you had a chance to use Sheathing the Sword, would you? I know I wouldn't. Screw the Pattern. It'll just have to find another way to spill my blood on the rocks of Shayol Ghul.

Prick your finger and hope for the best, then?
I think I would. Heck, I'm already destined to die. And even if that isn't what the prophecy means, I'm still going to die eventually. Might as well go down in a blaze of glory. By balefiring everything below me...
