Book 2 Prologe (sp?)

The prologe (sp?) of The Great Hunt was about some dude who called himself Bors. I finished the book about a week ago, and if there was anything past the prologe about Bors, it didn't click. What was the purpose of the Bors prologe if he isn't even mentioned anywhere else in the book?

PS: In which book does Faile come in?

Good old RJ just keeps putting characters in whenever he is bored and sees fit, so you end up losing track of most characters and the pointless sub plots. Bors does ring a bell, but I don't think he appears in any other books.

Faile comes in throughout the 3rd book. I think.

Bors....Bors.....I know he played some kind of part in the 2nd book. If you are bored and you can't get a hold of book 3, then I suggest rereading book 2 or at least skimming across the chapters to see whose perspective its at.

I remember he waspart of some secret black council or something.

I'm already nearly half way through book three. Still nothing about Bors, except what was in the prolouge of book 2. He was summoned by Ba'alzamon, along with a bunch of other people, and was given order from the Dark One, yadda yadda. Nothing clicks.

I remember he played some part in book 2. I just don't fully remember.

I don't remember reading about Bors other then in the prologue. Bors is not his real name you now, so if you want to know who he is, i'd look among Darkfriends

Well, if you really want to know, I suggest looking in the chapters to see whose persective it is. But make sure you look through the whole chapter because sometimes RJ likes to switch perspectives in the middle of a chapter. Plus, I really want to know.

Got it. I skimmed through the prolouge and learned that he's a Whitecloack. So I did a google search, and here's the result:

Jaichim Carridin (Bors)

- An Inquisitor of the Hand of the Light (Questioner)
- High Officer of the Children of the Light.
- Darkfriend called Bors.
- Given a mission from Ishamael, if he does not succeed every person in his entire family will be killed one by one, until he is left. Than he is killed.
- In a CoS he was in Ebou Dar.
- At the end of PoD Carridan was killed by Shiaine who forced him to drink brandy through a funnel until he drowned in it.
