We need rules. And we need them now. This is currently what we have.
Is this what we are going to use or do we need more? If not, I'll post the rules as soon as you guys say this is what we need anymore and we'll add them later.

One liners, though, can be very funny. Also, Spam will be allowed in designated thread, I assume?

Well, we really don't need any spam at the board. Not even in a disignated thread. I mean, its just taking up space and really has no purpose (I know thats what you kinda said earlier about spam Bob and now I agree with you).
One-liners are okay, but not like this (example),
"
lol!"
That will not be tolerated. It serves no purpose really. No one really wants to know that you Laughed Out Loud.

How about "No one-liners that don't add anything to the conversation" instead of just plain "No one-liners"? It would make the rule clearer and more lenient.
I'm also for punishments based on the harshness of the offense - I mean, it would be stupid to ban somebody for posting "lol!" a couple times. If he or she continues to do it after receiving a warning, something should be done (perhaps a view or post per day limit?), but we could give the person a few warnings before taking extreme measures.

Sigh, I should change my opinion in an argument with Tony more often. It works wonders for getting him to change his mind. : p

Punishment? The three strikes.
First offense - A warning
Second offense - banning of one day
Third offense - a permenent banning
Now, we don't always have to go in order. We could give them a couple warnings and mabye a couple one-day bannings, but if something is really big it'll go strait to a full banning.

That's pretty harsh for just saying "lol" three times.

Bob, please read what I said. And I know it may be harsh, but would you want to see someone constantly go "lol!" to everything that they think is funny?

I don't care, really. If they do it too much I will tend to ignore their posts completely.

True, but they should learn not to annoy other people often (I've learned that many many times).

How about we have no set punishment system? I know that sounds stupid, but hear me out. It seems logical to judge each offense on an individual basis. We could also put up the posts we find to break the rules up for consideration of the punishment if it's really minor or really major.

I agree that this might be a better way of dealing with things. But I do believe that we should..."advertise" punishment a little. At least let them know that they can and will be punished if they are found guilty of whatever rule they broke.
But if you really look at what Tony said up there, it already sort of is a system like this. He just has set puishments. I mean, like he said, we can warn 10 times if it is something as small as spamming, ban immediately if it is something like hacking other members. And now my mind wanders and I make no sense. Oh well...

I was hoping somone would mention posting someone's offense. And I know the perfect way to do it. How? You ask. Easy. Traitor's Tree We post a thread in Rules and Announcements (Coming Soon!) titles Traitor's Tree and we post that person's offense that we think would give a good example.

I've seen such threads/boards on other sites. It seems to work well. It usually involves a bounty on that person's head...but that's in real-time RPing where you gather exp and stuff. The Traitor's Tree...you know, a lot of good asha'man's name is on the Traitor's list, thanks to the M'hael. Oh well...

So we are going with that for example's of what NOT to do.
But what about the RULES? Should I just go make the board and post them and if you guys think there are some more rules to add you can add them?
