I e-mailed the non-active people, but I got two e-mails back saying that those e-mails do not exist.

Hmm...creating temporary email address so they can become a member at your board. That should make yourself feel special.

But I don't think that mass emails work all that well. They get ignored often enough, anyway. What we need is some hook; something that causes people to want to come back again and again to further their character.

I believe that one thing that will help accomplish this is more interaction between the characters. Now I know that right now it's pretty hard to get our characters together, as they are mostly enemies of one another, i.e. Aes Sedai and Asha'man. But if there are personal relationship forged between the different players, they will want to come back to further experience that relationship.

I don't really know how we can do this right now, but I think it is a step. That's about all I have...maybe later I can find something else.

Ok I have an idea. Please don't kill me for suggesting this. But maybe....and just maybe....you should expand it so it's not just Asha'man (or however the F you spell it). I mean, that way there you are expanding to satisfy a larger audience. It's like marketing a product to a larger audience.

And do you mean the member ranking system? We've been trying to get him to do that for a while, but there's no real good way to do it automatically. He would manually have to change each and every person's rank as they gained posts. While I don't have a problem with this, as I don't have to do any work, Tony might think otherwise.

You could be a Darkfriend inside the Children of the Light. You could be an Aha'man in the heart of the White Tower to gather information about what they are doing. You can do anything.

Why would you think rank has something to do with RPing? All I did was base it off the Black Tower because I thought the BT was cool. And it is. And I did try to change the rank in the biginning. With both BT, WT, and Shadow ranks. Do you want to know what that looked like? This is just the ranks for Admin and Global Moderator.

See how easy it would be just to base it off of one group? I know it may sound sexist, but its a lot easier to just have the BT ranks.

hey tony you could do what I did on my board, sadly though it is all Role Playing Based (what ever class you are wen you RP is your rank) but it would work great for this board what you would have to have them do is:

have only 1-20 classes and make them pick one, after adding them to your list of Ranks of course, all you would have to do is tell people to mod there character & add the Class to the list. Then go off and mod there Personal Profile and change there rank to what ever they want it to be, but for the Admin,Gmod,Mod,God you would have to have high rank's for them like the chosen could be a Gmod,ect.You could not even use WoT based names, you could use the name of your Character, (what ever it might be) as a Rank but that would only work for the Admin (tony) the other thing is that you should take a poll (not make a poll becuase that would only be your ideas, basicly make a thread not a poll) of all the Gmod & Mods ideas on what they think there rank name should be

Tony, you remember that link I sent you for The Broken Tower when we were talking about places to recruit from? I was envisioning something like that. Something that wasn't BT focused (That's why I didn't want you to kill me). You could have the RP boards the same (like all the diff. locations) but create an extra space for WT people, BT people, wolfkin, or whatever. They could just have to be OOC boards not even RP boards.

As for ranks, I don't know how you change them or anything but I did like what you had for the Admins (The DR/Am/Chosen thing). What's wrong w/doing that? And the more you post, the more you move up....except to DR/Amyrlin etc, because that has to be the same. But for example w/anyone who wants to be a Sister it would go Novice, Accepted, Sister then maybe one type of Mod is a Sitter and then above that Keeper and above that Amyrlin. As for what ajah, that doesn't even have to be part of the rank system. They can declare what ajah in their character description. Hope I didn't confuse you.

I don't like that group RP board thing. Its much too confusing when your RPing all over the continent. But as for groups, I could add a whole new section for groups.

And the thing that is wrong with the "DR / AS / Chosen" thing is that it is too long and very annoying because you don't know what the other person is.

go to my board and look at temanin's posts or Fallen Warriors post's. I'm talking about like tarac is a Archer so his rank would be archer (Fallen Path)
