Outlands

Of all the places in the World of the Wheel, these are the ones we know the least about. Shara, Seanchan, the Sea Folk Isles, the Aiel Waste, and the Land of Madmen, all with strange ideas and customs. Shara with the enslavement of the many by the few under a monolithic empire, Seanchan with their leashed channelers and reptilian monsters of every description, the Sea Folk with their obsession with rank and the best ships in the world, the Aiel, with their strange Ji'eh'toh and deadly with or without weapons, and the Land of Madmen, full of insane channelers of both sexes, with seemingly no possibility of peaceful contact.
