The DS stands for Dual Screen. It's the new Nintendo portable system. PSP stands for Playstation Portable the first portable system by Sony. It's going to be a competition really to see which is better/sells more/ect....

PSP will loose cause Sony just have no experience at all with portable systems. Unlike Nintendo, Sony has never had one before

I agree about Sony's lack of experience with portable, systems. BUT, I prefer their gaming lineup for consoles in comparison to Nintendo or Microsoft. I'm assuming they're going to get the same developers who make their console games to make games for the PSP.

Ok, actually i like the idea of duel screens.
Does anyone here have a N64 also because I just realized the DS is more advanced.

Hi I have a little more exp on this subject than most, (I have a summer job at Blizzard and got to go to E3) so here is what I have to say.
PSP = a system & compainy that has never made portables before and most likely never will again, this thing is a one time fluke that should never had happend. Most likely it will play Ps1 games & Ps2 games along with minni cds that you can burn in your cd burner with sofware like nero or cd pop.Open your cd rom drive see a little indent, that indent is ment for running minni cds (there about the size of game cube disks) also there is a rumor that it can be hooked up to the internet (like a Pda "personal data orginizer") it will most likly have three times the games a Xbox has due to the fact that it will have both ps1 & ps2 games on it's side plus it's own games.
DS = I realy have no clue what this thing runs cds or cartrys,as I said before I realy have no clue as to what is going on with this handheld all I know is that it is back lit,you can play head to head on one handheld. (didn't get to even see it at E3 the booth was crowded)

I watch TV and I know that DS doesn't have more than games and the new nickelodeon Gameboy movies. It has dual screens on on top is normal one on bottom is a touch screen. or the other way around man are you arrogant.

Why yes Silvion I am, I can't get used to Playstation controls. Altough of course most Playstation users can't use a GameCube controller as well. Yeah, I know you use both vic.

Jason, your opinion of Nintendo has blinded you from other systems. The only way you can say that it is bad is if you have played it and not just for one time. For many times. THEN you can say it sucks.
And I hope to get the PSP more than the DS. The DS sounds sorta stupid. Why the hell would you want two screens to distract you from the gameplay? I know I wouldn't want two screens to distract me from the game.

well I've got a PS2 and a X-Box, my best freind has a Gamecube and I play games on all 3 of them. On the PS2 I like to play GTA:Vice City, on the X-box I play Halo, and on the Cube I play Metroid Prime. I don't care about the controls, I get used to them in 5 mins.
