This talk about the Eye of the World movie has been around for YEARS. Do you guys think it'll actually get done? Red Eagle claims that there's been a lot of progress, they've found a director, and such...but I'm kind of not quite convinced. What do you think?

I think there is no chance in hell of getting an Eye of the World movie made with Red Eagle behind it. They are slow in what they do and don't seem to do much of anything. Plus, they haven't made any movies. Who wants to work for a company who wants to make a major movie when they haven't made one? I say, if we want an Eye of the World movie made we need a better company to back it up.

The books are soooo.. crazy. They have little plot twists.. it's a never-ending tree branching out.. I don't know if a movie could do it justice, even if it does get around to being made. Thinking about casting is fun though.

You know, the books could be turned into a television series. It would probably be on HBO. But with a television show they can include more of the storyline. The only problem is that with a television show you don't always have the greatest computer animation at your disposal. Luckily, not much of that happens in the first book. So if the show does become popular, they can purchase better animation programs for the later books.
I was thinking about this yesterday and could almost see what the opening of the show would look like.

I would be more interested in a play/theatrical version, I belive that would do far better...although very few people would see it.
