Side based; is like final fantasy I-VI
image based; is alot like dragon warrior, all you get is this little image of your character in battle, then just a bar with commands on it. No animation
Free-range; is like chrono trigger, but with out the world sprites, you get into random battle, but unlike chrono trigger, you can move in combat. Alot like star ocea for the Snes.
in-map; is basicly zelda, you can avoid the enemys easly, but it's the puzzles that leave you stumped =P (*note if we did use this there wouldn't really be alot of puzzles)

I voted slide base. It just seems the easiest to do. And if not that, I'd go with image or free based.

well I was more for the freebased, but the weave's would be really hard button combos then ^_^;;; so side based is what I'm working on, and if needs be I can change it later.

I voted for the Side-Based option. Since your avatar says "Linux" I want to know if this game can be played on a regular Windows-PC?
