I'll be gone Friday through Sunday to a one act play festival. I should return in the evening on Sunday sometime. See you then!

I had fun, but I'm really really tired right now. I'm going to head to bed soon.

Okay, now that I've got some sleep I'm less crabby and better able to tell you what happened.
First, this festival was created because, I think he's the drama teacher, at Garber High School didn't like all the competition at MIFA (I think that's what it was called). All he wanted was to have a bunch of high schools come to one place and perform plays for enjoyment, not awards. So the teacher, Mr. Smith, started this festival and had invited many schools across Michigan. Ours, Houghton High School, was the only U.P. school to accept the invitation and go. I am very glad we went, it was fun.
There was a total of fourteen schools at the festival and they all performed a play. The only requirements was that the play cannot go for longer than 45 minutes. The plays were performed over the course of two days, Friday and Saturday, with us going on Saturday.
Most of the plays performed were very good, except a few. One of them was about the fall of the czars in Russia and the rise to Communism. That play was actually longer than the 45 minutes, but they cut it down and that made it quite confusing. There was an angsty emo-teen play about this kid that was going to commit suicide. There were a lot of good ones, too. One was about twins seperated at birth who found each other, but at the moment they learned they were brothers they were killed. Very good.
And that's about it really.

Sounds pretty interesting. Wish there were some cooler theater-arts things happening around here.
