A Game of Stones

A Game of Stones is a web based Wheel of Time Massive Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game created by a bunch of fans. You choose a name, a class, and a password and start playing. The classes you can choose from so far are the Aiel, Channelers, Myddraal, Wolfkin, and Warrior. As a note, all Channelers are women. I found that out the hard way. Aiel are men. I'm guessing that the Wolfkin and Warrior are men, too, but I cannot confirm that. As soon as the creator deletes my male named female Channeler, I shall become a Wolfkin person with the name Jaric Tanerrel. Seek me out if you make a character.

If we can make a clan, I suggest we make a Wheel Weaves clan for Wheel Weaves members. If not, that's okay.

The game is mostly made up of pictures. The characters are from the comic. They have weapons, armor, and for channelers, weaves. It's just a click and battle game. There isn't really much of a chance to attack with certain things right now because it is a beta. And when you level up you can put points to where you want them.

Just check out the game. It seems like it has a lot of potential.

EDIT: Some news. Gender doesn't matter. The picture is a default avatar. So you can change your avatar to what you want, not what they have. So I am now a male channeler living in Tar Valon. I'm going to move somewhere else. The White Tower makes me feel uncomfortable.

The server is back up!

I have made us a clan, The Wheel Weaves. The credo I have now is, "The Wheel weaves as the Wheel wills." If you have anything better, please tell me. I would put up the phrophecy, "Master of the lightnings, rider on the storm, wearer of a crown of swords, spinner-out of fate. Who thinks he turns the Wheel of Time, may learn the truth too late.", but I don't know if you guys would mind that.

There is one problem with the game being back up. He is going to delete all the characters every so often. I don't know why, but he is. The good thing is that you can at least try it and if you mess up with something, like a name, you don't need to worry about it. I will continue to make a character and clan every time. My character will be Jaric Tanerrel and the clan will be The Wheel Weaves.

Server is back up again! New content has been added like quests. I have remade the clan so join it if you want. It's the same name as the forum.

I don't like these constant resets.
And I don't like that I'm sitting there with 117 gold, lose a few fights, and suddenly have 56. It's depressing.

There are positive aspects to the resets. It allows you to try out different classes and explore different areas. You can also focus on a different specific weapon. Last time, I focused on the One Power and swords. Now, I'm just focusing on the One Power.

[Temanin]

I have a pretty hatchet and leather armor. And golden eyes, of course. It can be a way to kill some time, I suppose. We'll see.

Maybe you'll be able to have a 'familiar'. This wouldn't be fuzzy dice or a bubble monkey like in KoL, but a wolf. It would fight along side you and help you out.

Did the game get reset again? I was finally settling into checking it between classes. For shame...

No. It was down a bit this afternoon, but it's back up.

Where did all my armor go? Why does it show a broken jpeg now, and a rating of no armor bonus?! And why do I never win fights, now?! AHH!!!

[Tony]

I . . . don't know. You should email the Creator guy and tell him. And if you want, I can buy some armor and stuff for you and you could buy it at a cheap price, like 1 gold.

[Temanin]

^^ Don't worry about it. I'm not dedicated enough to start such silliness. I don't plan to worry 'bout it all the much. But the game is promising, all the same. Once he has all the bugs worked out, it could be quite enjoyable.
