Well, yeah. There's eventually going to be a topic like this on a roleplaying board based off a series of fantasy novels. So, does anyone have some books that they'd like to recommend?
I'll start off. First, there's the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series by George R. R. Martin. It's really interesting, and even though I've only read books one and two, I think it's one of the best fantasy series that's out there.
Then there are the Redwall novels. They're targeted toward a younger audience, but the books are still good the first time around.
Lastly, I'd like to recommend Gatew... *is smacked*

Ah, that felt good. Now, me personally would recamend The Sword of Truth by Terry Goodkind. I think it is now an eight novel series. It might be more or less. I havn't finished it yet. Another book I highly recamend if your into time traveling AND politics, The Watch by Dennis Danvers. I'm currently reading it and I'm going to read his other books. They are if you want to know, Circuit of Heaven, Wilderness, Time and Time Again, and End of Days. And what Victor was going to say before I kindly smacked him, was that he made his own story, Gateways of Conquest, you can read it at www.fictionpress.com.

hmm...if you are VicPez, then i noticed a few things from the prologue
it seems to move too fast without enough description, and aside from a few grammatical errors, it was pretty good

I read up to the one when Kalan was beaten up and Richard couldn't heal her and if he did she would die because there was a trap laid of her.

Hey Xero, thanks for reading! I'm going read through and rewrite what I have so far of the story sometime in January, so if you can think of any other comments, please say so!
And I read Ender's Game... I really liked the ending. Sort of a shock, though I suspect that something like that might happen. I tossed that idea out, though, so the ending still came as a surprise.

is that the only one in the series you read, if so you should read the bean trilogy, and if not...you should read the bean trilogy. Shadow Puppets was awesome, with a capitol AWESOME
Tony, she doesn't die, I just lied ;D

No you didn't. Your just saying that because you spoiled the plot of the next book after the one I just mentioned.

I read the Bean books, and I've got to say that they were all good. But my absolute favorite out of the books in the Ender universe is Speaker for the Dead. It seemed a lot more emotional than any of the others, and it was just as gripping as Ender's Game.

Okay tony, TECHNICALLY, Kahlan does die, I'll leave you with that.
Speaker for the dead really didn't take hold of me like Ender's Game did. But that's just my opinion. Children of the mind was pretty good though.
