Don't sigh. You spoiled the plot of the book! Now I will hunt you down and gut you out!

anyway... Has anyone here read the Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn series by Tad Williams? Also known simply by book titles: The Dragonbone Chair, Stone of Farewell and To Green Angel Tower Part 1 & 2. I really like these books, but I am only on To Green Angel Tower Part 1 right now.

I do not like to be forced to read something I do not want to read. Like Vic did when he started reading WoT. He bugged me and bugged me till I said, "Fine! Give me the first book," And he did. I read it. I fell in love with the books.

I'm not trying to force you, I am recommending[/b] them to you. I don't like being forced to read, either. Things I read in school might have been enjoyable if I didn't have to read them, and then analyze them and what not.

I just hate being forced to read a book. Like for English we HAVE to read books and then do assignments about them. I HATE THAT! ;D If I have extra time, I'll look up those books.

I have an example: I had to read George Orwell's 1984. I would have really enjoyed it, but sadly that was not to be so. I was given a schedule in which I must read the book, instead of at my own pace. Thus, I sometimes had to rush and I never got a chance to enjoy it. When we weren't reading it, we were answering questions.

I hate when you have to read it in a short amount of time. I never learn anything that way.

I also hate how you have to do a book report about the book. I can't do that. Its very hard for me. Say I was reading The Dragon Reborn and someone asks me what the book is about. I'd either talk for hours on end or just say go read the first and second books.

Exactly! Just today I was trying to tell someone about this little art in a book, but to do it I had to give him some background info so it made sense. And for him to understand that, I had to tell him more and more...It just isn't fair to the autors that take so long to write that we simply compress their entire book into a 1-2 page paper.
