Have you ever...

...seen a ghost?

I'm serious. I can be very geeky about this sort of thing (and most other things), and I've found that a lot of people that I know have seen a ghost. So, any experiences anyone here would like to share?

And, no, I have never seen a ghost, but I know some people who have. Like my uncle. And my mom. And... stuff.

Well, I looked in the mirror one day and saw a pale figure. But it turned out to be me. So I guess I havn't.

I would assume by your question that you believe in ghosts. I don't know if I do. I don't think so. I will believe once/if I see them, I suppose.

I'm a strong beliver in ghosts. Along with Bigfoot, Lock Ness Monster, U.F.O.'s, ect.

but why is that? I mean, have you ever seen them? I know, I set double standards. I believe in God without seeing him, but methinks this is different. What good does it do to believe in them? Other than make you frightened, and what not.

[Tony]

*X-files theme music plays* I havn't seen them. But I think they are out there. *music ends* But I don't believe in God.

Personally, I'm almost certain that God and ghosts exist, for the reason that both have too many believers not to be at least taken into serious consideration. And I think that the people I know who have claimed to seen a ghost believe that what they claim is true.

While I admit that I've had neither personal experiences with ghosts, or God, I still believe they are there. I can't really explain why.

Why I don't believe in God? Easily. The Bible is like one big hoax. Made up stories to make you believe in something. People only follow religion because they can't explain the world around them. So they use a god(s) to expalain what happens in their lives.

[Temanin]

Made up stories, huh? And what do you think stories about ghosts and aliens are? Those are factual while the Bible is a grade hoax? You must present more evidence, and then we shall have a discussion.

I never said I believed all the stories about aliens and stuff. You just assumed I did.

[Temanin]

So, if you don't belive the stories and I only assumed this, then I can only assume that you have actually bumped into an alien on the street, or had a chat with a ghost, or went fishing with Big Foot.

And I also want you to present more reasons as to why the Bible is a hoax. If you believe so, then why?

Your assuming again. I never said I believed all the stories. I just think they are out there. And why do you I have to discuss my views about religion with you?

[Temanin]

No one is making you discuss them. I just thought it would be interesting. And as for assuming, what you now say is that you simply know that they exist, without hearing and believing the stories. If you do not believe the stories, the only other way to believe in such things is to actually have seen one. Otherwise, you wouldn't know that they even exist.

I belive SOME of them. Bigfoot and Loch Ness Monster I don't think really exist. But aliens? There SHOULD be other life out there besides our puny planet. I mean, there is a whole universe out there with endless worlds that could harbor life.
