The boat was going to dock in an hour or so, They could see Tear coming up over the horizon. She took this as her chance to change out of her Aes Sedai clothing. Sisters were not allowed in Tear.
She took off her blue cloak and folded it neatly and put into her pack, pulling out an old woolen one that was brown. She looked at her great serpent ring, and pulled it off. She stood there staring at it, turning it over in her hands gently. She didnt like taking it off, it was bad enough tryin to hide it on the boat, but to completly be off was hard. It had been over 20 years since she had earned it. She decided it was necessary and put it in her pack as well.
She looked up at Tristan and then they turned for the cabin door, They would be docking soon. She wished to see the sites of the town approaching. It was beautiful at mid day.
She was by the railing and waited for Tristan to say what he was waiting to say. It was a tug on the bond, she could feel.

The trip had gone easily since the storm and Tristan was glad for it. When Tear itself come into view and Moraine packed up her things he looked at her and wondered but kept silent.
Finally he had to ask the over-riding question. "Moraine, what are we doing in Tear?"

She heard the question, but something across the docks caught her eye. A ship docked and the few she could see on it. She dared not use saidar here, she would get a better look as they got off the boat.
"We are looking for a man, Tristan, a man who claims to be the dragon reborn. He will be here. It could be months. We have need to find some more permanent arragements. If you have need of more gold let me know. I have more we would have need of a bank first." she looked at him then back to the ship that just docked. She lowered her voice, " I wish to see who gets off that ship over there. Something is ... pulling me to find out what." She looked back up at the boat and then back to Tristan

"Do we know tha man's name? That would certainly make it easier."
Glancing at the ship out of the corner of his eye. "The Raker? Just stand here and look like you are supervising the unloading of your property, that way it will be easy to see."
Looking at her nod, "I will return shortly." And he left off to see what was happening along the wharf.
Returning a short time later he came up to Moraine "There is hearsay that that ship has been strange places. There is apparently a person of strange origin in the passengers."

She nodded and watched as Tristan slipped away through the crowd. She really did oversee the unloading of thier things. She was uncomfortable having her ring off and her good blues packed away. She worked for years gaining them just to pack them away half the time. She sighed. That was the way of the blues though. Always seeking out the politics, playing the game.
When the stuff was ready to be moved she felt Tristan getting closer he saw her, but she couldnt see him. She felt that through the bond, a sense of knowing his target.
She looked again and he was right in front of her.nHe looked right at her "There is hearsay that that ship has been strange places. There is apparently a person of strange origin in the passengers." Strange indeed. She knew she could sense it, She was almost positive then and she was sure of it now.
"We walk near to that ship Tristan, I want to see her." she said. She saw Tristan give a start at what she said. Was he surprised she knew? "If youll please Tristan, I do not know the way, a way safe around, that we may not be seen. But I need a good look." she tilted her head and peered at him.

Helping her down the gangplank and into the docks, he offered his arm as tey walked. Once out of earshot of the boat he began. "The one I heard was strange was a man Moraine. Like one who has not been seen before." He picked their way through the crowd at the docks, always keeping the sea folk boat in sight. "There is an Inn here that overlooks the harbor, would you like to take a room here to observe from? I should be able to arrange it."

She walked with Tristan. She wrapped her hand around his arm, and followed till they past the docks. She peered at the boat over his shoulder and couldnt see much, the ship was like the rest the hustle and bustle of men shouting and working on tying it off.
She was surprised to here Tristan say it was a man he heard of. In fact she was more positive it was a woman that did all the damage at sea. What could a strange Man have to do with it too? She really needed to get a look at the pair.
Tristan lead them on towards the Inn, he was right, it was in an eye shot of the harbor. They walked in and the common room was filled with dock workers and men laughing and drinking. She stayed close behind Tristan while he rented a room for the two of them.
"Innkeeper, we would have food brought up to us, please and spiced wine." she asked quietly.
"I be the InnKeeper and my name is Brair, Mistress, Ill have yours brought up to you shortly" He bobbed and ran off to the back room.
"Strange place this is Tristan, I hope the rooms are within view. Please, lets go." She asked more than said.

"It should."
Letting her lead the way up the stairs, he opened the door for her. Letting her walk in and following. he immediately checked the view and smiled. "It is good, the ship is over two berths, but you can see the gangway and the road from it."
"Why do you assume it was a woman onboard? I heard nothing about it except that it is a sea folk ship, they always have women aboard."
"Or is it that you think there is someone who can channel aboard that ship?"

"It is good, the ship is over two berths, but you can see the gangway and the road from it." he said
She walked over to the window and looked out to the docks he mentioned. She could point out the ship and see people on it but hardly enough to get a view. She turned to look at Tristan. She took off her cloak and liad it on the chair near the window.
"Why do you assume it was a woman onboard? I heard nothing about it except that it is a sea folk ship, they always have women aboard." he asked.
"Sea Folk have wilders, Tristan. They dont follow the winds and beat every other trader to dock with luck. Granted it has been mostly rumor and I have not seen it for myself, It would make sense why the sandbar had raised so quickly. The storm though, is another matter. That could be anything. The dark one has a wider grasp than we think on the world. Thank the Creator he is still locked up." she said.
"I hope that it is nothing more than a woman channeling, I still couldnt point out why that storm hit and left as it did. It just didnt..... feel right." she turned to the window. She wanted a closer look at the boat.
She embraced Saidar, letting just enough in to enhance her sight of the dock. She could feel it waiting to be pulled in more, the trickle was never enough, but she knew better. She saw the ship, a woman, a man. They were coming off the ship. She got goosebumps suddenly, and let go of the embrace. She sighed and turned to Tristan.
"They are exiting the boat, Tristan. I would know where they stay." She said. She edged the chair near the window more so she could sit and see comfortably. She sat down and looked to Tristan as he spoke.

"They are exiting the boat, Tristan. I would know where they stay."
"Very well, I shall return shortly." He then took a long look at the pair, when he turned back around Moraine had her cloak on. "You are going then?"
She nodded and he sighed. "Very well then." And opened the door.

She grabbed up her cloak and waited for Tristan to turn around. A sense of ... shock, coursed the bond between them. She did like that for sure with him, always knowing that he does actually have feelings beyond that soldier in him.
"You're going then?" he shook his head, "Very Well, then." he finished and walked out the door.
She followed in step behind him, scanning the common room as they passed by. They left the Inn, looking though the crowded streets.
She could see them as clear as they were standing infront of her, she waitied for Tristan to take the lead though. The man would grow tired of her snap decsions soon enough, today would not be that day.
Tristan saw them too leading them within 20 paces of the pair and weeding in and out of the crowd. They turned into an Inn and they slowed down and looked at each other
"Should we go in and have a bit of spiced wine?" she asked quietly looking at the Inn.

"Should we go in and have a bit of spiced wine?" she asked quietly looking at the Inn.
"I think we shall. I am thirsty." Grinning, and heading for the Inn. Opening the door for her and letting her inside. He followed her in and found a table where he could see both the door and the pair. He pulled a chair out for Moraine and waited fro her to sit, before himself sitting next to her.
When the waitress approached he ordered the spiced wine for them and looked to Moraine, "Hungry?"

She smiled at him, they entered and sat down at a table. He waited for her first then followed in sitting. A server came up and He ordered the wine, and then turned to her "Hungry?" he asked.
She nodded and let him order for the both of them. Her eyes were on the pair. They were getting a room at this Inn. She took in the looks of them, one being Seafolk, that was plainly obvious. The other... she was not sure... She pulled her eyes away to look at Tristan. "These are the two that caused the trouble at sea. How is still the question." she whispered. She kept an eye on them and the rest of the room. She didnt want to say more in open than she had already.

He glanced at the Sea Folk woman and the strange man. "Can we get some bread, stew and the pork and potates?" Using the serving girl to screen his observation of them.
Sitting and watching as they passed money to the innkeeper and a boy showed them up the stairs at the same time as the serving girl returned with the meal setting it before them. Tristan looked to Moraine and then to the pair again caustiously. He then began to eat.

She looked up at the pair going up the stairs. She whispered to Tristan "Keep an eye on the two, Gaidin, we shall leave if nothing of them comes soon. I have urgent business to tend too." she didnt wait for an answer he would follow them and she would know if there was an issue or not.
She went back to eating her meal and drinking her wine.
