I will prod some activity into this board.
What, in your opinion, are the Wheelworld nations most closely related to or representative of?
My theories (based on mediveval states):
Shara: China, when it cut itself off from the world Seanchan: America, obviously. Sea Folk: ? Land of Madmen: Africa Aiel: Arabs/Mongols Andor: England Cairhein: France Illian: Spain? Tear: Byzantines Altara: Italy Murandy: Germany Mayene: Venice Amacidia: Crusader State? Tarabon: Portugal? Arad Domon: ?? Borderlands: Poland/Scandinavia/Balkans, holding back the hordes. Tar Valon: Rome

I...do not know what they would be. Your guess are as good as mine even though I don't have any. But why would America be Seanchan? Yeah America is across the ocean and it extends fromt the north pole to almost the south pole, but we didn't try and invade Europe in the medivel times unless the Indians were once more advanced than we thought.

No, the Native Americans didn't invade Europe...but maybe they should have! Just joking. Yes, Bob, I'm liking your list. Looks pretty good to me.

some changes:
illian: Netherlands Amadicia: Katholic state (Spain? Italy?). Borderlands: Germanic tribes(had to fight off the mongolian hordes). Sea folk: Minoan civilisations? Mycenian civilisations, Phoenisans?(don't know what they are called in english, but they where based at Libanon around 800 B.C)

This is a link about an old Indian settlement they found in Utah. If the Indians were more advanced than we thought, they could have invaded Europe back then. But back then would be like 3000 years. www.msnbc.msn.com/id/5288477/

pfffft thats nothing, research the mayans, then u can say they were advanced, which they werent compared to the mayans who were great astronomers and scientists, they had a VERY accurate calendar, only off by like 6 secs or something, and they built great pyamids like the egyptians, and they had sports , if only the spaniards back then didnt destroy their civilization, theyd be the most scientificaly advanced race alive....

If they where the most cicilized civilization back then, why couldn't they defense themselves against the Spaniards? I think the "Scientifically advanced"is a relative subject. I mean, how do you use a supreme calendar against a heavy-armoured conquistadore? . Like when the European Hordes invaded America the locals where not adept to the new diseases(such as small-pox and the flew) and their fire-power(Spaniards devistated the Mayan society with Musquetes).
