OK, here it is. The last battle will consist of this:
Mat is leading a massive assault on Shayol Ghul, with a huge army consisting of:
The band of the Red Hand (10,000 men)
The Army of Andor (led by Gawyn Trakand, 50,000 men)
The Borderlanders (about 100,000)
The Children of the Light (Galand Trakand, with 10,000 men)
Tear, Illian, and Cairhein (50,000 men)
The Domani and Taraboners (50,000 men)
The Aiel (500,000 men)
The Army of Manetheren (10,000 men)
The army of Tar Valon (10,000)
Making it about 800,000 men from Rand Land, plus
1,000,000 Seanchan (Mat has a wonderful wife, eh?)
500,000 Sharans (Rand convinced 'em to come)
and a contingient of 100,000 from the Land of Madmen (tamed by Rand about book 13)
Making it about 2,500,000 men on the light side, supported by about 10,000 Aes Sedai, Ashaman, Ayyad, and Damane (still leashed, for they had to make some concessions with the Seanchan)
The Trollocs, however, blacken the slopes of Shayol Ghul with about 5,000,000 of them, and maybye 5,000-15,000 Black Ajah and others.
These two sides battle furiously, with neither side gaining much of an advantage, when a huge horde of Darkhounds come bursting out of nowhere, and seem to be ready to take the humans from behind, when Perrin and Elyas lead a huge herd of wolves to battle them.
As these rage, Rand, in a circle of 72 of the strongest Aes Sedai, Ashaman, Ayyad, and Damane, with Rand holding the key to the male Cheodan Kal, and Nyvanaeve the femal (Elayne rebuilt the key after its destruction in book nine), and Logain, Callandor. These deal a crippling blow to the Dark One, when suddenly, the Forsaken attack. Moraine battles Cyndane epically, while Logain is killed by Moridin, who is then struck down by Nyvanaeve. In their moment of triumph, the Forces of the Dragon are suprised as Padain Fain, out of nowhere, stabs Rand with the Dagger. Nyvanaeve manages to heal him, and he rests the rest of the battle out.
After this, the circle travels to the great battlefield, and makes a decisive difference, and the Forces of the Light Triumph. However, RJ's final word, his last few paragraphs will be of Shai'tan, greatly weakened, but not dead, and deciding to bide his time until the wheel turns full circle again.
In the meantime, the forces of the Dragon celebrate, and RJ concludes with something like:
"From Shara to Seanchan, from the Borderlands to Illian, and even to the Land of Madmen, word spreads. The Dragon is victorius, and celebrating his victory. No, he has won, but is dead. No, Shai'tan has triumphed and is about to remake the world.
A wind falls from the slopes of Shayol Ghul, to return it to the idyllic isle it once was. Rain is falling, and peace reigns. It was not the ending. There are niether endings nor beginnings to the turning of the Wheel of Time. But it was an end. For in the very fabric of reality, a spoke passes in the Wheel of Time."
