Name: Ahranne Corhonne
Age: 29
Gender: Female
Height: 5'2" or 157.5 cm
Eyes: dark brown
Hair: black
Weight: 120 lbs or 54.55 kgs
Description: Ahranne is a bit shorter than the average westlander, and rather petite. She has a lovely dark olivine complexion and large, deep brown eyes. Her thick black hair generally falls in a long mane to her lower back, and is usually left down or in a simple braid. Her features are what one would consider "cute," rather than beautiful, with her small turned-up nose and pouty mouth. She is usually found wearing the typical Ebou Dari noblewoman's garb; a snug-bodied dress with long skirts raised straight across both legs to show off bright petticoats beneath and a round cutout in the bodice, which in Ahranne's case, is to show the lack of a marriage knife, which she will never wear. Her gowns are usually pale yellow in color, proudly showing her Ajah's color. Very intelligent, she long considered the Brown Ajah before finally settling for the Yellow, surprising a great many expectant Browns. A passionate healer, she is usually pretty polite and very much a thinker, but her temper can flare up quickly. Although she isn't particularly strong, she is quick and weilds her knife in a manner which would make any Ebou Dari mother proud.
Strengths: She's a pretty strong channeler, stronger than average but not "the strongest seen since..etc" Main strengths lie in Air, Spirit, and Water, she's a Healer..
Weaknesses: She's not really physically strong, and she's weak in Fire and Earth. Her skills on horseback leave much to be desired. She also has a quick temper and many don't take her seriously yet, as she is newly raised.
Background: Ahranne was born in the eastern half of the city, home of the lower class of Ebou Dar. Raised here for the earliest part of her life, she grew up pretty tough, bearing witness the frequent knife fights that were a way of life in the grimy slums that housed the lower class.
Her father was her only care-taker, her mother died during childbirth. He worked in a run-down unkempt inn, and his only pay was a small room in the attic which he and his young daughter shared. A meager living though it was, her father still doted on his only child, always ensuring that she was fed and clothed, having the innkeeper show her her letters.. She was destined for great things, of this he was sure. Little Ahranne would not stay in a small inn forever.
She lived like this until she was seven, when her father was killed in a duel in the streets behind the inn. Without her father working there, the innkeeper could not afford to keep the girl, not for free. She gave the child to a friend of hers, a rather popular seamstress named Lenya. She had long been looking for someone to apprentice, and while Ahranne was a bit young, the innkeeper insisted she was a bright child, she knew her letters, she was a bit shy, but once you got her opened up she was a splendid girl.
Once she was taken in, she showed quite a bit of promise and was adored by both the wealthy seamstress and her husband. They treated her like a daughter, for they'd never had a child of their own. She learned to sew from the wife, and the husband helped her with her reading and taught her a bit about math. Arhanne proved to be quite adept at her new trade and was slowly growing into a lovely and well-mannered middle class young lady. She took the name of her new family, Corhonne.
When she was twelve, two odd women came to the shop requesting dresses. They were very interested in Arhanne, much to the chagrin of Lenya. They appeared to be noblewomen, but it seemed impossible to guess their ages.. And they were both dressed in outlander clothing. When their dresses were finished, they took Lenya and her husband aside and spoke to them softly but firmly. The seamstress approached the girl slowly, bright tears in her eyes, and told her it was all for the best, that if she didn't go... It was possible the girl could.. Die..
They helped her pack up and sent her off with the two women, the Aes Sedai, to the White Tower. There, leaving behind a second life, she became a Novice, which she remained for 9 years, studying to become an Aes Sedai. Ahranne was very good at her studies. Many thought she'd make a good Brown, though she always appeared to have a thing for Yellow, and of course, she dreamed of Green once or twice, but not really seriously... When she became an Accepted, she definitely showed a great tendency toward Yellow and Brown, and after seven years, when she was summoned once again, this time to become and Aes Sedai, there were many who were unsure of what she'd choose. In the end of course, she chose healing, she'd always shown strong promise in healing, and the Yellows welcomed her with open arms, into their dwindling halls. Now here she stands, a year after being raised to Aes Sedai, unsure of what her next step is, unsure of what she'll do next, unsure of herself and her new title, but knowing that she has something big ahead of her, even if she doesn't know what it is..
((OOC: Gah.. I hate coming up with backrounds and names for characters.. You'll notice Lenya's husband, Arhanne's father, and the innkeeper, none of them have names.. Lenya only has a name because that one's been floating around in my head for the past week. No clue where it came from... Well, anyways, I know it needs work, but I attempted to make grammatically correct and whatnot.. Oh well.. I await your judgement..))
