I don't think they could kill the Dark One.
I do think that there may be a duel between Rand and Moridin. That one Seanchan lady will mess something up and cause Rand to die by Moridin. Elayne and/or Aviendha will balefire Moridin bringing Rand back to life.

Okay I'm new here hi to room and people and all that.
Rand will live period. The end. I have proff. (well Rand will live as long as the pattern stays intact)
Min said quite clearly "Oh Light Aviendha and Rand will have 7 children." so you see if the pattern stays intact this will come true. Unless it is atleast 3 more years before the Final Battle. Also that can't be for: "When the fox (Mat) marries the raven (thun) the horns of battle will sound." Another point Moraine is pivital to the winning of the last battle. I don't know why but otherwise Jordan wouldn't have left it until now for that to begin." One more point just thought I would point this out but the KoD has foreshadowing in a mass effect kind of way.

I'd like a book name and chapter name on that quote by Min, about Rand and Aviendha having 7 children, ...for some reason it doesn't sound like the kind of thing she would say if it were an actual vision. (don't bother with page number, they change between hardcover and softcover)...for another, I don't remember it.
There was an entry in KoD in which Rand quite clearly remembered something the Aelf/Elf- finn in Tear told him. "To live you must die." So he will die somehow, but he'll also live.
Also, Tuon was dismissing what Mat said about the fox and snake people as mere children's tales. They can indeed be found on the shadow coast, but in a tower, which may or may not be on a hill. Probably the tower that was talked about in either the first or second book, being all made of one substance with no conceivable way in. The Tower of Ghenji (probably spelled wrong) that Perrin almost followed Slayer into while in the World of Dreams.

Aviendha is to have four of Rand's children at once. WH Ch. 12. I don't recall anything about seven, however.
Tower of Genji. The game Snakes and Ladders tells of a way to get into the tower. For some reason I recall a bronze knife, but that's just me.
Just regurgitating information.

It was something like touch the Tower with a bronze implement, a knife specifically, and say the words to start a Foxes and Snakes or summat.

You are not suppose to bring in iron weapons, musical instruments, and fire. Guess what Thom has? All three.

Hmm. Well maybe there's a reason you're not supposed to bring them in: they can kill the fox and snake folk. Stands to reason. Don't let in the thing that could kill you. I have absolutely no basis for this idea, whatsoever. Just thinking out loud.

Thats what I thought, too. I wonder if those items make them vulnurable in some way.

i'm pretty sure i remember somewhere, probably from KOD, that you need to use a bronze implement to draw out the symbol from the Snakes and Foxes game.
also, perhaps the items aren't necessarily used for killing the Snakes and Foxes, the could be somewhat like keys to different parts of their realm. Music will stop this guardian in its tracks thus giving access to this area.
i'll admit, it's a stretch, but a possibility.
also out of nowhere,...what if the Aelf/Elf -inn know the song that the Tinkers are looking for? >.>

That could be a possibility.
I always thought the Aiel would know the Tinker song and they just don't tell them because they dislike them.

So. Ehm, hi every one. I'm kinda new here, and I just came here for the theory-plotting, so I guess I'll just introduce myself here. *introduces hersef* Well... that's done.
About the song-stuff, didn't the Ogier know a song they used to sing to grow trees and stuff? I was thinking that's The Song.
And, back on topic, 'bout stuff that might happen in/after the Last Battle. I don't think Rand will die, though it would make things a lote more fun to read. For example, that would point out Min wouldn't always be correct with her foretellings ^^ I do, however, think Min will die. How 'bout that? She has predicted something for practically every one that proves they're all going to survive. But, she can't read herself. She doesn't know her own future. That would make her the obvious one to die, wouldn't it? She has no weird super powers that we know of that might save her, and she's the only one without an alibi to live. If that counts as an aliby XD

Okay I came in late but here I want to give my thoery on the foxes and snakes.
The incant is:
Iron to Bind Courage to strengthen Fire to Blind Music to Dazzel
Now when we think about it who is the closest we know who has gotten to beating the game, well its the boy that Mat finds. I heard something that Thom is going to go into the place of snakes and foxes and save Moraine because in the Fourth book Egwene has a dream about Thom pulling moraine's sahpire head chaine thing from a fire. I also herd that he was going to have to take three people with him one for each part of the incant. So far I've worked out Music=Thom, Courage=Perrin, Iron=Mat but I can't work out the fire part my only guess would be Rand because he would need Moraine for her knowlage. Now if you think about this it could be logical and perhaps true but what about Lan bond could Moraine have possibly just passed it on to the one person without actually dieing. Now about getting in I think you must be next to the tower of Genji at mid-night (Tuon) and you will need the four things. I've said all I know now.

Why not just have an iron knife, Thom, a match, and a flute or harp?
