Yes, a d20 system is in the works, so no, you won't be leading any parties here, thanks. Many of us have the book, as well. We are simply trying to find the best way to integrate it into this place. So just be patient, and we'll get there, m'kay?
Probably a more productive way to do this would be to say, "I am very interested in started some d20 RPing here, and am willing to work with the staff to get it done. I think it'll be a great addition, etc. etc."
Cheers.

Yeah, I talked with amontoh. He seems really interested in organizing the d20 aspect of the game. I don't have the books and only looked through them occasionally. I think I may borrow Victor's books and look them over to understand what we really need done.

i am almost done with reading the book if i could get an idea of whos down for running a d20 thread i have a few ideas on how to do the dice rolls i need to talk about them with who ever wants to do this to decide what method to use: - the person DMing rolls all dice
- each player does there own dice rolls and we use the honor system
- if we can get ita dice rolling app for the forum
- a java app {like a chattroom on or linked to the forum]
- use of webcams to brodcast rolls(however we would all have to be online at the same time{using yahoo with cam im thinking})
- the use of a dice rolling app by the dm
- any other sugestions welcom
also we need to decide who will DM! I feel that it should be some one: , if any one has any other ideas/ sugestions let me know maby have the players take turns DMing, each person runs one mission in a round robin/rotating way

Wow, the requirements sound a lot like me. But I only check the forum more than several times a day because it is my homepage.

No. I'm just saying that sounds a lot like me. I would do it if I were a skilled DM. Seeing as though I have not played many P&P games or even DM'd them, I am not qualified.

Personally, I think that the best options for rolls are for the DM to roll all the dice, or for the use of an online RNG. And rather than commit to long sessions, I'd instead recommend a play by post system -- where players are required to post a certain amount of times per week to keep up the game, and the DM makes appropriate rolls whenever he gets the chance. Those are just my suggestions, though, from the way I've seen other d20 message boards work online.

*nudges Victor*
You could always take the DM position and still have a character to play. Or have someone DM for a little bit while you play.

I own it, and I've been through it a couple times. Even though Robert Jordan didn't have much say in its creation, it's still pretty nifty.
