Drop a line and let me know if you're interested in bringing back The Wheel Weaves. And give me some input and what you want to see. Examples could be the color/skin of the forum, boards, contests, competitions, etc.
EDIT: Depending on the input I'm going to start working on it as soon as this semester has ended.
EDIT EDIT: I'm working on things!

I'd drop in occasionally if you brought it back. You know my views on color schemes -- I don't give a damn so long as they're not hideously affronting. Nothing in particular I'd ask you to add to the site... I'm trying to think of interesting Wheel of Time related activities, but I'm drawing a blank.

With the new book coming out it would be nice to have another place to discuss. The books make me angry. As for the forum - maybe there are too many things going on. Half of the places have no posts. Making it more concise may be a little more personal. Competitions could involve anything: art, predictions, prose, silliness, etc.
Four years since I've been here. Very long time.

Hello guys! I got a weird-looking message in my mailbox and I decided to click on the link. Look where it brought me. I feel really nostalgic at the moment, can you imagine?
Anyways, last week I visited my all-time favorite bookstore "Waterstones". Its the Valhalla for foreign books here in Amsterdam. I actually attacked the lady behind the counter when she said the book is not due untill about Christmass-time. Whats the deal with people and not finishing books? I was totaly pissed at RJ when Tony told me he died, ofcourse, but this further delay is just outrageous.
The new G. Martin books isn't due for a couple of months either. That also totaly pisses me off. The deadline has shifted a thousand times already! It kinda makes me feel like how I felt when I was reading The Dark Tower-series by King. He actually managed to get himself run-over by a truck. It delayed the series for years! I can't imagine being a writer is such a hazardous vocation, but some really seem to be living on the edge or something. I rather hope that Martin doesn't decide to go and get skydiving-classes or I might not be able to read anything worth reading at all in the near future.
On a sidenote, I noticed I've still got about a thousand posts. In a nerdy, but gloating sort of way I feel really good about that. I bookmarked the boards again and I will try to visit it now and then, if only to hone my English skills and vent my irritation. I might even contribute something worth reading occasionally.
Greetings,
Berry.

Sorry 'bout the delay, gentle fellows. I'm not sure if almost a month has gone by without any activity is a sign of things to come, but I figured I'd go ahead and basically agree with Victor here. I could easily get back in the habit of checking the place from time to time, and as Delerious said, it may be nice to have a place to discuss the conclusion of the series and whatnot. For instance, you also say that the books make you angry. Why this is intrigues me. But where could we have such a discussion?! I know! The internet!
Oh, and Silvion? I'm right there with you as far as old Martin goes. If the man would stop playing with his little model knights and do his job, I'm sure the book would come along a little more quickly. I mean, goodness, I wish I could be virtually unproductive for almost four years and still keep my job. However, with Jordan I'll have to politely disagree. Whenever you die and yet still manage to get a book written, I think you deserve a little extra publishing time. Also if you're interested, Brandon Sanderson has posted a nice little blog entry over on his website explaining the division of the final book into three, as well as why the delays have been as such. I am in agreement, however, that I want the series to finally end. It looks like that would officially be happening until 2011. Oh well.
As an aside, it was pleasant seeing some familiar names again. Cheers.
EDIT: Sorry Tony, I sort of ignored the whole "suggestions" part of the original post. But as I don't really have anything specific, I'd like to sort of turn the question back on you. You want to start the place back up... but why? Looking to getting back into role playing? Want a place to discuss stuff? Wanting something completely different? Not trying to attack the decision, as I think it's a cool one, I'm just curious. Keep rockin' on.

Well, I've always enjoyed this place. I enjoyed the discussions we had and I miss it. And coming home has wanted me to indulge in my nostalgic things. I don't know if I'll do roleplaying seeing as it never quite works out. It never works out with me in the real life as well. But I will keep it open for others.

I'm starting to think that Steven Erikson is the only fantasy author who can get his books out on a half-decent schedule. Count this as an enthusiastic plug for The Malazan Book of the Fallen, though... I picked it up in sophomore year of high school, and Erikson is just two books away from completing it and seems to be heading along right on schedule. A definite rarity.

Ah, The Divine Comedy is most definitely a good read. And I've never heard of Erikson, sadly, though they sound interesting. I'll look into picking a few of 'em up. One other author I'd like to give props to for getting books out on time is Jim Butcher. Between his Dresden Files and Codex Alera series, the man is putting two books out per year, pretty much right when he says he will. Now they're short - relatively speaking - but it's still an impressive accomplishment, at least in my book.

I love Neil Gaiman. Whenever I finish reading one of his books I always feel slightly melancholic. He leaves me wanting more. I happen to like that in a guy.

Ah, I hear he particularly excelled in that one, but I haven't read it yet. I did order it a few weeks back from Amazon, along with his comic book series, but it still hasn’t arrived . I just finish reading Neverwhere though. Brilliant. I think it's being made into a movie. I know there’s a 90s BBC TV adaptation, but it should probably be avoided at all costs.

Yeah. They are making a movie out of it, I sure hope they portray Hunter as she is in my imagination.
