I was hoping for two things in the book.
Moiraine's comeback and Cadsuane teaching the Asha'man what they need to know for the Last Battle. I am convinced now that Jordan will write thirteen books, not twelve.

I just finished the book and I think its great. About the books, I remember reading somewhere Jordan will finish the series in 2 books. I don't know for sure, but I remember reading that on some site.

I don't know..RJ said that he was going to make it end on the 12th book, even if it had to be over 2000 pages long. Something about, not having enough to make it spread out into a 13th book. I'm pretty confident it'll end at 12.

He'll end it in one book, that's for sure. Hasn't he got this terminal disease? He simply has to end it in one book.

Well, looks like the disease ended him before he could finish the series, but, I feel anyways, that they've made a good choice for an author to finish the last one.
I've read Sanderson's Mistborn series and his standalone book Elantris. Both were very good reads and I've already started pimping out the Mistborn book to all my friends much like I was passing out Eye of the World back in the day.

I would completely agree, Brandon Sanderson is a talented author and deserving of the responsibility given to him. I, too, have read his Mistborn series - though I never got around to reading Elantris - and they are definitely fantastic books. He'll do the series credit and hopefully follow up KoD with a fantastic finale.
