"Up axes and clear the fields, Trollocs coming!"
I'm almost done with this book, and thus far, almost all of it has either had me laughing, i.e. the chapters concerning Mat, or caused goosebumps to form on my arms, i.e. chapters concerning Perrin ('cause he rocks) and Rand ('cause he's the bloody Dragon Reborn!!)!!
I don't have time at the moment to talk about specifics, but the quote at the top of this post starts the greatest scene in the book, thus far. I'll write more, eventually.
I'm so happy! XP

*tries not to look at Tem's post*
I havn't even finished up my second run through Crossroads. I feel so deprived that I havn't started Knife of Dreams yet. I'll look back at this when I start reading it.

I guess it didn't.
I want to make a guess on the quote, and don't tell me if it's wrong or right. I will find out eventually. But I want to guess that Trollocs may attack Emond's Field for some reason.

^^ I put the spoiler thing in the title just in case. I was just being safe. And yeah, I mean you should know that Mat's chapters would involve at least a little humor, as Mat is funny, etc. etc.
And even though you told me not to, the answer, Tony, is: no. Oddly enough, that's what Ogier say when they're about to fight...*cough* ^^ But that's not what made the battle cool. It was all the...!! I suppose I can wait until someone else reads it.

i've read it too. it's been a very long time coming for me to be able to post in this forum. Aol seems to hate my friggin' guts. in any case. i read, and re-read the chapter entitled "the golden crane" about 20 times so far. i'm about to take my second plunge through the book in mass, pick up on some details i skimmed over earlier. i want the NEXT book right NOW. heh. Lan, Loial, and Mat's storylines have me excited as freakin' heck. at this point i could care less about perrin and rand. we'll get to them eventually. ****ok, if you don't want anything about this book given away, and you are still actually reading this thread, i'd suggest bailing right now. i'm SPOILERING my favorite quote from this series. you've been warned. "My name is Nynaeve ti al'Meara Mandragoran. The message i want sent is this. My husband rides from World's End toward Tarwin's Gap, toward Tarmon Gai'don. Will he ride alone?" call me cheesy, but i love to see a fallen nation rise up again from it's ashes and smash back against that which destroyed it centuries ago. the portents of that chapter.... guess i should leave something to be talked about by all those lagging behind. -cough- Dal -cough- =D

Ah, that chapter rocked, too! I almost joined them in their call, I was so excited. And I'd have to agree, Lan, Loial, and Mat are the three I'm looking forward to the most, as well. I'm just a sucker for mass destruction using the One Power. XP
But yeah, I was dancing all over my room with anticipation. But we both know Robert Jordan won't write the next book for ten years...*sigh*

Well that is why fan-fics exist =P and why roleplaying exists.

"Mourn if you must. But mourn on the march for Tarmon Gai'don."
Robert Jordan can take a slightly boring chapter, snap his fingers, and make it bone-chilling.
"The Golden Crane flies for Tarmon Gai'don!"
And boy has that wind become a little more malicious. And killer ghosts is an interesting change. The Last Battle is surely coming. All begins to look in that direction, finally. And I'm starting to like Logain a little more. XP

Is it worth reading if Crossroads bored me to tears?

Hmm, really? So you don't know the wonder of Deathgates, Fire Blossoms, Fire Arrows, etc. You've never heard Ogier contemplating leaving this world, you haven't heard of the woes to befall the Sea Folk, or the mass migration of Tinkers into Seanchan-controlled lands, or Egwene's struggles while being a "captive" of the White Tower, or Elayne's pregnancy problems, or... ^^

I thought you weren't reading any of the posts here. Thus the blame is removed from me, once more. Temanin wins again. *+10 points*
