I would prick my finger and let a drop of blood fall. I mean, I don't want a huge half-healed wound on my side. That would suck ass (I use "suck ass" a lot. Don't ask my how you can suck ass 'cause I don't know).

((I'm assuming you can do that. Just a difficult procedure, I would imagine.))
Why not? It would make for a great story to tell the little ones later, assuming you survive the Last Battle and the crazy balefire attacks that will consume the world a little later.
Besides, there is an Asha'man who can Heal it. It's all good.

There isn't an Asha'man that can Heal it, can he? Is he the old guy that moves his hands up and down your body while talking to himself? If so, mabye. But couldn't Nyneave also Heal Rand of the wound?
OH! Nyneave and the old dude could link and Heal Rand!

There is a guy that can do it. A great Healer. He can Heal severing, as well, if memory serves. I just can't remember his name for the life of me...
And yes, if this guy and Nyneave linked up to Heal, there would be some serious stuff goin' on.
*grumbles to self* I need balefire...

The question is, why wouldn't I need balefire?
And the Healer dude's name is Flinn. He can't Heal the two wounds on his side, but he is still a pretty good Healer.

But why would you need Balefire?

Say you are driving down the road one day and someone T-bones your car. Now that's no good at all. So, instead of dealing with all of the insurance and other law-related problems, just balefire him. Problem solved.

....that is true. Another thing you could do. A bomb goes off in a school and a lot of kids die. So you go hunt the bomb maker down and Balefire his ass and the kids are alive again.

Yeah. You could be like, "Mom! I'm going to mow the lawn!" You channel a huge sheet of balefire and balefire the grass.

It's a shame major use of balefire unravels the Pattern and what not. Otherwise, it would be interesting to see who would win. The whole battle would take about 10 minutes.
